How to set up VeriFactu in Zoho Books: a step-by-step guide with B2Brouter
Enable VeriFactu in Zoho Books through B2Brouter step by step: requirements, plans and real pricing, connecting to the SIF and how to automate sending with eDocExchange.
A simple explanation of setting up VeriFactu in Zoho Books
Zoho Books has now built in the VeriFactu electronic invoicing system, mandatory in Spain, through B2Brouter.
At the moment, this feature is only enabled by default on newly created Zoho Books accounts. If you already use Zoho Books, you need to request activation manually. In any case, you must always create a B2Brouter account first: once it is open, you will be able to check the available tiers and the connection details.
Would you rather we enable it for you? Get in touch or book an appointment and we will take care of setting everything up. If you work with several Zoho apps, we can also review your Zoho One while we are at it.
Steps to enable VeriFactu in Zoho Books
Once your B2Brouter account is ready, enabling VeriFactu in Zoho Books takes just a few minutes:
- Log in to your Zoho Books account.
- Click the Settings icon (the gear, in the top right corner).
- Go to All Settings and select VeriFactu.
- Press the Connect to B2Brouter button.
- Enter your B2Brouter connector credentials.
With that, Zoho Books is linked to B2Brouter and ready to start issuing invoices in line with VeriFactu.
How does VeriFactu actually work in Zoho?
Zoho’s responsible declaration (required in order to have VeriFactu in Zoho Books) explains it like this:
“Through the B2BRouter connector, Zoho Books communicates with the tax authorities to send invoice information. Posted sales invoices are transmitted to B2BRouter, which handles the settlement with the AEAT and the delivery to the customer. Zoho Books keeps a complete audit trail from creation to transmission, and B2BRouter keeps its own record for the subsequent steps.”
In plain terms: you invoice in Zoho Books as usual, and B2Brouter acts as an intermediary to talk to the AEAT and deliver the invoice to the customer, leaving traceability on both sides.
